Upgrade to 18.04 LTS

Asked by Scanwingkjell

I have tried 18.04 LTS before but it did not work as my laptop can only 386 not AMD64.
I had severe problems(not able to), going out on internet when I had 18.04 LTS installed.
Luckily I could revert to 16.04 LTS!
Now my "Updater service" suggest upgrade to 18.04 LTS.
Suggestions?

It should not make any difference in usability of Ubuntu 18.04 whether you have the 32bit or 64bit variant installed.

What is the output of the command
lscpu

Hi!
The problem is because your laptop doesn't work at a distribution of 64 bits.
I recommend you stop using an old version, because it may has many bugs or security's problems.
Ubuntu doesn't make 84x bits versions for now, but you can install in your laptop another Linux Distribution of 84x bits like Lubuntu, Xubuntu, etc...

If the problem continues, contact us again! ;)

Can you help with this problem?
