Intel GM965/GL960 sin funcionar tras actualizacion Ubuntu 9.04 RC

Instalé la RC del nuevo Ubuntu 9.04 (cosa que hago siempre, así no se me hace eterno la semana que viene bajar la versión definitiva y actualizarla) en mi notebook LG E500 y me puso mas que contento que me halla reconocido el 100% del hardware desatendidamente.

La cosa es que cuando instalé actualizaciones del sistema, reinicio y de la nada me quede sin aceleración gráfica y cuando miro que fue lo que instaló encuentro unos paquetes de nvidia que no tienen nada que ver con mi maquina... la cosa es que los desinstalo desde synaptic, regenero la configuración original del xorg, y corro en terminal la instalación de los drivers de la aceleradora intel desde cero y no pasa nada. Ya intente de muchas formas que vi googleando pero no logro hacer que la placa rinda.

Si quiero activar compiz como viene por defecto me dice que no se puede activar. Les adjunto mi lspci mi xorg y lo que me tira glxgears.

Alguna idea de como hacer para reinstalarla o restaurarla, lo que si les aseguro es que no toque nada de nada, solo actualizo sola y dejo de funcionar, un saludo y muchas gracias!

Creando un script con la siguiente información y haciendo que se ejecute al inicio el problema se resuelve:
