graphical issues with sweethome3d

Asked by mo hirntot

working on Ubuntu Mate 18.04, two different laptops, one shows a strange behavior after I tried to update the package "sweethome3d", the other one works perfectly also with that update.

Since I played around with unsupported updates (see Bug #1773532) I have some graphical issues with sweethome3d. Elements only show up, after they change but not before. for example when they get highlighted when I pass with the cursor, they show up.
I completely uninstalled java, sweethome3d, the furnitures, everything. I reinstalled the supported version for Bionic (5.7), but still there are these strange graphical issues. I don't know what to do now.

additional notes:
System: Ubuntu Mate 18.04

on my second computer (also Ubuntu Mate 18.04), everything works great, also with that unsupported update.

I actually think, it's an issue, not a bug, but I couldn't
