in my ubuntu 18.4 version the viber I installed adn was workin properly , now it does not. I tried to reinstall in but no luck.

Asked by Saraoudas Michalis

I worked a bit more with my system to resolve the problem as per my questionc678533 and I realized that the problem exists in my system. I used ubuntu advanced options for broken package repair . After that viber worked on my laptop and i got a notice that some graphic drivers require a full graphical boot and so will fall when resuming from recovery. I finished the broken package repair cycle, i reboot the system and the system returned back to its previous stage. The viber was again not working properly
Please instruct me as of what to do in order to fix this problem

Kind regards

Michalis Saraoudas

Saraoudas Michalis - Hello.

The package "viber" does not exist in bionoc.
"sysop@x1804mini:~$ apt search viber
Sorting... Done
Full Text Search... Done
sysop@x1804mini:~$"

Please provide amplifying information.
Is this 3rd party software - where the author has yet to update the packaging ?

-some things are beyond our control-

Viber author updated the software for mobile phones to version 10.1.0 but
the installed viber in my laptop was working properly with the updated
version till last week. I unstalled viber using system installation /
removal procedure, I uninstalled it via terminal , I uninstalled it using
synaptic but not all viber packages were removed . I used the system to
repair broken work packages , viber in my laptop was again working properly
byt after reboot it came back to the problematic situation I mentioned
above. I dont know what else to do to fix the problem.
