send pictures on net

Asked by Djanji

Hi,
I'de like to send pictures as attached files but it takes a very long time.
I use Mozilla Thunderbird.
I must send max 2 photos at one time otherwise the system warn me for either timeout or out of memory on the other side.
Question: is it possible, like as Windows (do excuse me) to reduce the pixels of the photos before sending them ?

Thanks for an early reply

Hello,

How large is one picture ?
Are you sure your e-mail service provider is capable of supporting the file size of your e-mail?

You can reduce the KB size of images for email transmission using the GIMP which is under Applications, Graphics.

The GIMP Help section describes the procedure in section 9, subsection 1.6.1.

Remember that your ISP's upload speed is much much slower than download speed.
