18.04 fresh install problems...

Asked by John Doe

Hi. i'm super new to this wonderfull community, i had an old laptop and decided to install ubuntu on it. I installed it via USB and this is like second time trying to make ubuntu work, i dont really know much and googling stuff does not really help cuz every problem is very specific and kinda hard to understand.

version : 18.04.2 LTS

problems : It takes forever to boot, it used to take less first time around ; i get "system detected a problem" error message everytime i get to main screen. Heres the stuff thats crashing : https://imgur.com/a/d1tAHdc
Laptop battery is dead but idk what that has to do with any of this since i just leave it plugged in. Also i used to get snapd service , snapd repair service static /not avialable or something like that but i dont really know what i did its gone now. (a lot forced updates/installs i guess). Heres the hdd stuff : https://imgur.com/a/MMa1eRN
forgot to mention that wifi was working fine before and now it just says to make sure wifi adapter is plugged in...

p.s. i know i dont really know nor understand many things but i'm trying..

Is the system fully updated?

You can check with:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

Your second image shows a possible bad drive. You may want to replace it (especially if the system is old)

I cant really replace the hdd atm... this was not an issue 2 days ago.. everything was working fine, slow but fine.

Can you help with this problem?
