Duel booting ubuntu with windows

I have been using ubuntu in virtual machine in my PC, but i have noticed that when i try to perform heavy processor requirement processes, it starts to lag as it works on limited RAM, i use ubuntu (https://routerlogin.mobi/192-168-8-1/) most of the time and i want o run windows in virtual machine instead of ubuntu, i have read that windows on vm gives a very slow speed, is this true? Please help

Is this a GUI based OS or a server based one (CLI only)?
What version of Ubuntu please?
Is it fully updated?
