intel video driver reset watching fullscreen video on totem

Hi guys i am italian sorry for my bad english, i have a problem, today i have downloaded an AVI movie and when i clicked for open it and choose the fullscreen mode the system has reset/uninstalled the intel video drivers now i have bad resolution and no 3d acceleration.in the synaptic package manager xorg video drivers are installed but they don't work i cannot change native resolution and i have not 3d.Is Totem video player the problem?How can i fix this problem?

You can ask the question in itatian.
Anyhow try to change the resolution back.
System>Preferences>display
Then set the resolution to what it should be.

i have already try to change the resolution from control panel but the only resolutions supported now are 800x600 and 1024x768 ..before this problem i could change it to 1440x900 and many others
