U r running out of disk space

hello i am using ubuntu 8 version
after some period of time interval i am getting u r running out of disk space.
when i see dh -hT
it is showing that my root partion disk usage is 100%
but when i see whole space of file system my application also there is not much space acquired.
but still iit showing 100%/usage.
when i restarted the system then automatically a lto of free disk space avaliable.
please tell me the solution

Hello,

One possible explanation why your hard drive disk would be full after some time, but not just after you booted, would be that an application writes a lot of cache data in /tmp, which is deleted when you restart.

Do you use any application that caches a lot of data ?
