Network manager doesn't reconnect wifi after suspend-Ubuntu 18.04

Asked by Pablo

When I reactivate Ubuntu 18.04 after suspend, Network manager doesn't reappear and no wifi. I have to go to terminal and "run sudo systemctl restart NetworkManager" or else use WICD. Has a solution been found for this bug?

This is the output for "sudo lshw -C network; lsb_release -a; uname -a", in case it is useful:

If you run:

sudo modprobe -r iwlwifi
sudo modprobe iwlwifi

Does the wifi jump into life?

I ran the two commands above and nothing happened.

ONe of the ways in which the error happens is when I am connected to one wifi server and then attempt to connect to another, in this case, when I don't have the password for the 2nd server. The whole Network Manager goes blank.

This time it did not reconnect on suspend, but again, the two commands produced no results.
