Keypad stopped responding 18.04

Asked by Robert Martin

Newbie! I did latest ubuntu desktop a week ago. Everything was fine , but no sound. I finally got that working. But before that my keyboard numbers pad stopped responding. Lock/unlock no effect. I replaced with another KB and the same problem. It stopped working 2 days before I finally got sound working, so I don't know if something I did diabled it. The number across top of KB work. I love this OS, my work has improved by 100%, but the Numbers Pad is essential.

Running ubuntu 18.04 on Gateway 835GM Media Center, 4gb Ram, 250GB HD, Intel d.Processor 820.

[Solved} by opening the tool wrench from upper right hand corner triangle,
then disabling mouse keys
