Brasero not Boraso.

Try K3b?

What message? PRECISELY.

Unable to install K3b:
E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'dpkg --configure -
a' to correct the problem.

I have tried a few things but may be missing a command or program. I have lost a few programs (and sources of programs) going to 18.04. I expected to get different (up graded) programs to replace them but it has been a fight.

The error message "E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'dpkg --configure -a'" tell that the package management system on your computer is in an inconsistent status and some packages are only partly installed.

For diagnostic purposes please provide the output that you receive for the commands:

uname -a
lsb_release -crid
sudo dpkg --configure -a

If "sudo dpkg --configure -a" does not produce any output, then you should be able to install brasero or K3b with the commands

sudo apt install brasero

and/or

sudo apt install K3b

What is the full output that you receive for one of these commands?

(Remark: there is no need to retype the text, you should be able to use copy and paste by clicking the right mouse button)

Thank you Manfred
That solved it and I assume for other programs I was looking to load.

As for retyping the text, I had tried the copy and paste but it wouldn't work. Then I tried screenshot and the computer locked up so the quickest and safest way was just to retype.

Thank you again. It has been a few years since I had used terminal when I first loaded 14.04 so was rusty on the procedure.
