Setting up python3 (3.6.7-1~18.04) mint 19

running python rtupdate hooks for python3.6...
[Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/usr/share/hplip/ui5/__init__.py'
[Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/usr/share/hplip/ui5/aboutdialog.py'
[Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/usr/share/hplip/ui5/aboutdialog_base.py'
[Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/usr/share/hplip/ui5/aligndialog.py'
[Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/usr/share/hplip/ui5/aligndialog_base.py' .....

And will not install any other updates. The error list goes on but is variants.
Exit error status is 4.

This is support für Ubuntu only, and not for any operating system that is "based on Ubuntu" like Linux Mint.

Your distribution isn't Ubuntu so is not supported here.

None of the "Ubuntu based" distributions are supported by the Ubuntu community. Linux Mint has it's own forum and user base. It is not here
