Wired network not working

After the power went out once or twice, the wired network stopped working.
It connects, but a question mark is shown over the connection icon.
There is no connection at all.
I tried to restart the network, i restarted the pc twice once with ethernet disconnected and once with it connected.
Please assist.

When i came home today, the problem was solved.
The connection is back on.
