Errors in CUPS, unable to print

Asked by Singer Michael

There is no printout (no matter what application) about CUPS with my printer HP Color Laserjet CP1515n possible.

The print remains queued and the Web GUI of CUPS displays the error "Filter failed" or file "/usr/lib/cups/filter/foomatic-rip-hplip No such file or directory".

My system data:
Distribution: KDE Neon (Useredition)
Plasma: 5.14.1
Kernel: 4.15.0-36-generic

Hi arochester,
I have created in the KDE systemettings under printers with the following values:

Driver: Color Laserjet cp15151n hpijs pcl3 3.17.10 (en)
Detected network printer: HP Color Laserjet CP1515N
Address: 198.168.188.33
Port: 9100

Unfortunately I can not print a document again. The print queue reports the same error "Filter failed". Incidentally, I have on another notebook (KDENeon identical configuration) exactly the same problems.

regards
Michael
