Gray Screen while RDP in Ubuntu 16.4 Desktop (XRDP)

Hello Friends,

I created new Ubuntu 16.4 Desktop and installed xRDP on it.. I tried to RDP the Ubuntu machine an dots working fine with the default user which i created on it.

And then i added one more user in it with the same attributes like the existing user and when i try to RDP using new user it gives me gray screen with cross mark and then RDP session closes by its own.

Windows 7

RDP To:
4.13.0-36-generic #40~16.04.1-Ubuntu SMP Fri Feb 16 23:25:58 UTC 2018 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Its working for one of the user which i created during installation, but its doesn't work for the newly created user.

What do you do once you connect? What do you do in Ubuntu once you connect via RDP?

I am sorry i dint get your question. Below are the steps;

1- using MSTSC i RDP to Ubuntu Desktop
2- Once i enter the credentials of newly created user and click on login.
3- I get gray screen with cross mark.

And when i follow the same steps but using the user account which i created during installation. It works perfectly fine.

OK but what activities do you do on the remote system once connected? Why do you want to connect? There is probably a sleeker solution to what you want to do.

This machine is allocated to testing team for testing of applications

Do they test in a web browser or via a terminal ?
