Problem using SoundKonverter

After converting an mp3 file to m4a, the m4a file contains 0 byte. whats the problem?

soundKonverter 0.3.8

You can try running the command "soundconverter" from a terminal (Applications->Accessoires->Terminal), which will show you any output (=error messages) from the program.
Other than that, try different output settings.

I meant "soundkonverter" of course (no capital 'K', no 'c').
