Configure ubuntu cd image mirror with rsync

Asked by pablo

Hello,

I have a big CPD in spain with a 1 gbps internet line for general use. I will make a CD-image mirror for ubuntu. But i don't find a information about how to mount it.

I readed this urls : https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Mirrors and https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Mirrors/Scripts

first, I need information about the URL for sync my mirror:

es.rsync.releases.ubuntu.com/releases ??
es.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu ??

It's not clear.

for other part, Whats is the best form for sync to a principal mirror, I use the ubuntu script mirror but not it's crear

For exemple I tried with this script :

rsync --times --links --hard-links --partial --block-size=8192 --compress --delete -ar es.rsync.releases.ubuntu.com::releases/ /volume1/web/distro-images/ubuntu

I readed other scripts this url: https://github.com/nickcharlton/ubumirror/blob/master/ubumirror.conf

I need more information about this.

Do you want to update the files in the ISO? Is. This the requirement?

If you always have Web access then you can use the mini ISO and install the OS directly from the repositories rather than the static packages on the CD.

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask pablo for more information if necessary.
