bad line somewhere in Wine code

Asked by Irish

When I try to update using the Update Manager (Mint 19) I get an error message "The repository 'https://dl.winehq.org/wind-builds/ubuntu bionic Release' does not have a Release file." I have investigated and think the correct code is "https://dl.winehq.org/wine-builds/ubuntu/dists/bionic/Release" but I do not know the file that I need to change that line in to confirm/fix the problem/solution. My question is where do I find that code?
Thanks

Mint is not supported by the Ubuntu community in any way

I suggest you post on the Mint forum here:
https://forums.linuxmint.com

None of the "Ubuntu based" distributions are supported by the Ubuntu community or Canonical

Although Linux Mint is not supported here, I will try to help.

The wrong entry most probably is inside
/etc/apt/sources.list
or in one of the files
/etc/apt/sources.list.d/*.list

m-hamlpl - thanks for trying - I get as far as having /etc/apt on the command line, but can't get any farther. cd /etc takes me to the etc , then cd /apt takes me to :/etc/apt/$, but I can't get to the sources.list other then to see it in the list of files in apt. I tried the vi editor to no avail.

I do appreciate the suggestion. I have signed up on the other forum. Maybe someone there will have the answer.

Can you help with this problem?
