There were some reports about people who had upgrade problems when they had the NVidia legacy driver installed.
I suggest that you uninstall all NVidia drivers (except the open-source "nouveau" driver) and re-try the release upgrade.

Also a question: Сould the fact that I'm booting in insecure mode affect the upgrade
In progress with removing of Nvidia
Thanks!

So, I can't remove Nvidia driver completely and I don't know why.
I used this one command: sudo apt-get autoremove --purge nvidia-*
and after I still see it on Additional Drivers tab and ubuntu-drivers debug shows me that:
user@user:~$ ubuntu-drivers debug

What is the output of
dpkg -l | grep -i nvidia
I think after "sudo apt-get autoremove --purge nvidia-*" all packages should already be uninstalled. It is just the system that tells: you could install and use a spcific driver ….
Does the release upgrade still fail?

user@user:~$ dpkg -l | grep -i nvidia // nothing there
Yes, still failed after fetch..
And what about this my question "Also a question: Сould the fact that I'm booting in insecure mode affect the upgrade"?
Basically, I understand that reinstall fresh system is easier, but the problem that it is my work notebook, and will need to reinstall and set up all programs.. Much time..
So what else I can do? Some workaround?
Thanks!

This does not help.
Next idea: issue the command
sudo strace -o do-release-
Upload the file "do-release-
Maybe we see can more in this trace file.

But I guess it's not so informative. I have trace file locally and it's about 130mb
Maybe I should share it via google doc or something else?

Either something went wrong when creating the trace file, or you uploaded the wrong file to paste.ubuntu.com. This is not what I expected.

Does this wrong way to do this?:
user@user:~$ sudo strace -o do-release-
http://
Also this one fails all time:
user@user:~$ pastebinit /home/user/
Failed to contact the server: [Errno socket error] The write operation timed out
Revision history for this message
|

The first command is wrong, because it does not upload the strace output to pastebin, but the output of the do-release-upgrade command.
The second one would be correct, but apparently aborts with timeout.
Do you have a chance to publish that file somewhere else?

Thank you for the trace, but I cannot identify anything that would answer the question why the upgrade aborts.
The output, however, shows several additional repositories. Usually an upgrade runs better without additional sources like PPAs.
What is the output of the command
find /etc/apt -name '*.list' -exec bash -c 'echo -e "\n$1\n"; cat -n "$1"' _ '{}' \;

The release upgrade tries to verify whether you have a "standard Ubuntu" or kubuntu or xubuntu and behaves a bit differently. This identification is done based on the presence of the packages ubuntu-desktop or kubuntu-desktop of xubuntu-desktop.
I do not know what the release upgrader does if there are foreign packages with a "*-desktop" name like slack-desktop in your case.
I suggest that you uninstall that "slack-desktop" package (whatever that is) and try the upgrade again.
Additionally, immediately after the failure of the "sudo do-release-command" please execute
echo $?
and report the results.

Thank you for the explanation.
So, I removed slack-desktop.
Did you mean "sudo do-release-upgrade" instead of "sudo do-release-
So, after sudo do-release-upgrade:

Oops. that was a typo error. It should have read … the "sudo do-release-upgrade" command …, but you were able to correctly interpret my nonsense.
Error status 1 does not tell anything.
It seems that I also cannot identify the root cause.
I am running out of ideas.
Have you already considered making backup copies of your important data and to re-start from scratch with a clean installation from an Ubuntu 18.04 installation medium?

You do all your best! I don't know is it your job or your "hobby" but you are professional.
I thought about it, but I don't know Ubuntu well enough. Could you suggest what ways it can be? Like I said previously this is my work laptop and I would like to know if it possible update kernel, or some main components and leave already installed my programs as it is? Or some another, less "pain" way?

Ubuntu 17.10 is not supported any more.
This does not mean that it will stop working, but there will not be any updates.
No new versions of the kernel packages are prepared for this release - it might be possible to download new versions of the kernel packages for other releases manually and to install them manually.
No bug fixes will be provided, not even for critical vulnerabilities (like shellshock, heartbleed, …)

Should do it. If that fails, just run the below commands:

CUDA
ros (robot operating system)
anaconda
