Good YouTube downloader. Video downloadHelper does not work anymore.

Ubuntu 1.604 (2 computers). I need a good YouTube downloader. Video DownloadHelper does not work any more. What happens is, it needs a companion apt. Downloaded many times, does't work. Went to Mozilla Firefox help. It said it would not work, and gave a list of programs that would work. Next line said, they contained Add Ware. What is a good downloader?

There are plenty of extensions and addons for web browsers to pull down videos from YouTube
