Ubuntu 12.04 is end of life (EOL) as of April 2017.

Wubi is also end of life and is an AWFUL way to use Ubuntu. I suggest you uninstall Wubi (after backing up your data) and resizing your NTFS to make free space. You can then install Ubuntu 18.04 (Which is LTS and supported until April 2023)

Wubi was a quick and dirty try-before-you-buy. It is not a long term solution to an install. It was also completely awful and it super fragile.
