I believe no one have time for just waiting a click "Yes, continue to install" in the process mid-term and watching the whole upgrade process for several hours and do nothing. Ubuntu should have an upgrade manager that act as an user's agent to collect the user's answers for the all packages' asking questions at the beginning of upgrade process. Then the upgrade manager automatic answer the package question during the upgrade process. Therefore, the upgrade process won't interrupt for waiting user's answer. When upgrade process installation start, no more questions will be asked until the upgrade complete.
