Ubuntu

18.04 not booting

recently upgraded to 18.04. When it boots, I see the Ubuntu logo and the 5 dots appear to cycle once. Then everything stops and i see the mouse arrow stuck in the lower r/h corner. The Boot up never seems to "finish" and the screen subsequently just goes blank.

What did you upgrade from?
Do you use proprietary video drivers?
