I think you must edit the boot.ini from your windows partition ...
Can you provide me the content of boot.ini?

What windows that you use?
If you are using xp, please boot to your xp cd, and go to recovery console, after you got a console window, type fixmbr+enter, and reboot ...

Try it first

Good luck

Just try selecting Ubuntu from that menu, it made me laugh. A menu with 2 options that both do exactly the same thing lol. Even the Ubuntu option there boots straight into Windows without any bad effects :) heheheh

Yeah, Windows uninstallers can't cope with various things that need doing to properly uninstall a program. The guide, i gave a link for, details some of the steps you can follow after using the Windows uninstaller to make sure it's all uninstalled.

Just open this link
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/WubiGuide
in a new tab and in the menu on the top right (ish) go to

4. Uninstallation
   1. How do I uninstall Wubi?
   2. How do I manually uninstall Wubi?
   3. How do I reinstall Wubi?

Click on the "2. How do I manually uninstall Wubi?" and follow the bits you haven't done yet. You've already done most of it but the extra bits might be worth doing to make the bootup look better and stuff.

Good luck and regards from
Tom :)
