Xorg process looping....using 70-80% of cpu...

Asked by joeshmoe

i'm using ubuntu 8.10, (kernel 2.6.27.11-generic) on a dell d600 laptop.
there is a special key labeled "Fn" (in blue) in between "Ctrl" and "the windows logo key"...
pressing that key and the F3 function key i used to get a battery status infomational dialog box,
today when pressed, i do get the dialog box, but it loops, i get ten dialog boxes on the side, and have to restart the X system to continue... kind of a funny bug...

Sounds like it might be a bug. You can file a bug here on Launchpad (use the "Bugs" tab) and file it against the Ubuntu Desktop.

Can you help with this problem?
