background hissing sound whenever I run Ubuntu [Dell Latitude E6420]

Asked by Bashir

I'm running Win 7 and Ubuntu 18.04 on a Dell Latitude E6420. But whenever I switch to Ubuntu there is a weird sound it makes in the background as it is running. Anyone with the solution please help me. It doesn't happen in Windows. I have tried much of the available solutions e.g. reducing sound settings, installing some packages, etc. online but all in vain. I am new in Ubuntu

Yes. It sounds as if it's a fan running but too much..
