I had 16,04 LTS and could get online wireless now the icon is up on 18.04 but does not stay on line with any applications I use.

I used to be able to use my browsers, mail client and everything on 16.04 now on 18.04 I cannot use mail client and could not use my browser. It says I cannot get online to change my browser settings.
