regarding to cut-paste of folder

well, i make a folder name ".deb package" in desktop.Finally i copy the folder and paste in the document folder.But the folder".deb package is not there.I again follow the same step but this time it says"folder is already there ..if you want to merge it or skip it- option is there".I want to know how i find that folder.I go through the search machine but there it says "no folder found"

If you named your folder with a . like .deb package then your folder goes hidden.So you must only go to your file browser ->
view and check show hidden files and you should see your folder.
Change the folders name without .
Everything that starts with a dot (.) usually is a hidden file.
