png image with transparent background shows green outline

Asked by zebul666 on 2018-08-10

I have included a bitcoin logo on my site. I t was fine in chromium 67.0.3396.99-0ubuntu0.18.04.1
but now in 68.0.3440.75-0ubuntu0.18.04.1 it renders with a green outline.

I just resized the logo from https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Promotional_graphics
If you go there, you should see it also

But I can't reproduce the bug by creating a simialr circle shape on a transparent background.
It renders fine in chromium 68.

So I opended a bug https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=873006 and it is may be premature.

Did you have the same problem ? Is it an ubuntu bug ?
It is fine in google-chrome-stable 68

Could be a design feature from imgur's css or how imgur handles image rendering, not sure if there is a valid solution in the first place. Probably not an issue with Chromium much lesser Ubuntu.

Lol.
imgur is not my site.
It is a site where you can post images.
I used it to post a screenshot of my site.

Well, it is indeed a rare bug because mine has been marked as duplicated of https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=862908#c15
