Moonlight installed but still cant view ITV Player

Asked by heatherjm45

Hope someone can help. I went on the ITV site to catch up on some episodes of Coronation Street I had missed. However, the site uses Microsoft Silverlight. As instructed I installed Moonlight 1.01 the open source implementation of Microsoft Silverlight for unix systems but it still just asks for Microsoft Silverlight when I try to view any programmes on there. Am I missing something?

The ITV player requires Silverlight 2:
http://www.itv.com/ITVPlayer/ITVVideoPlayerFAQ/default.html
Moonlight 1.0 is an implementation of Silverlight 1.

moonlight preview "http://go-mono.com/moonlight-preview/" will provide Silverlight 2; it also has some silverlight 3 features in it. Warning 'as also stated on download page' this is not feature complete, an also though itv player quits asking to install Silverlight 2, as far as i have tested no videos have yet to load
