Hello there,

I also had some trouble with "Brasero" (cannot burn more than six or seven subfolders, files larger than 2GB) so I tried other burning tools. "Gnomebaker" had the same problems and it crashed several times so it was no option.

But since I use "K3b" everything works just fine. No problems with that tool. Just try it.

The error was confirmed by one of my users as well. After 4 bricked disks he succeded to burn one, through...

I have tried all what Ubuntu 10.10 can give my through it's Application Library
concerning DVD Burning includind Brasero, K3B, Bombono ETC,...
To be able to Burn a Video DVD Disc readable through a Home DVD Player,
there is only one way (so far) that i've been able to Burn DVD Video. Here is how
i do with Ubuntu 10.10: I first convert the (Ex.: .AVI) File into an .ISO File using DEVEDE.
Then i close the Application (DEVEDE) and i use Brasero or Gnome Baker to Burn the .ISO File
into a DVD Disc. Make sure if the .ISO File is bigger than 4.7 GB, use a DL Disk (8.5 GB).
I did not find an App that doe's the Convert and Burning at once, unfortunatly...

hi. i am using ubuntu 12.04 on hp pavilion laptop with this optical unit:: scsi 3:0:0:0: CD-ROM Optiarc DVD RW AD-7581A BH05 PQ: 0 ANSI: 5 cdrom: Uniform CD-ROM driver Revision: 3.20 sr 3:0:0:0: Attached scsi CD-ROM sr0. brasero manages very well cds, but doesn't burn correctly dvds (it is like it enters in an infinite cycle; stopping it, it gives error messages, cannot closing disk or eject it) and doesn't recognize double face dvds (recognized as single face). I installed k3b and everything worked well.
