Hello. I bought a used computer. It has a password of the previous owner. I can use the computer and get on line. But it is a nuisance for me to always have the unlock button appear when I start. Can you help me make it go away?

Hello. I bought a used computer with your software. I can access internet and all programmes. However, on start up it always flashes unlock. I do not know the password. I cannot download your Ubuntu updates. It is a nuisance. Can I somehow defeat this UNLOCK button?
