Ubuntu default player 18.04 LTS does not open imm of mp4 files

Asked by Edson José dos Santos

Ubuntu default player 18.04 LTS does not open imm of mp4 files

I installed Deepin Movie version 3.2.3 available in the Ubuntu 18.04 LTS Store to see how it works and only the SOM works, and the video footage does not appear. In the standard Ubuntu player the same thing happens. Only sound and image works in player videos in MPV Media Player and SMplayer.

Obs. I have the restrictions installed.
sudo apt install ubuntu-restricted-extras ubuntu-restricted-addons

Could you give me a hint of what might be missing?

From now on, I draw your attention.

Hello actionparsnip

Yes .... With vlc, smplayer and mpv media player works everything OK. Only with the standard Ubuntu 18.04 LTS player and Deepin Movie is no image appearing. Inquiring about the subject, but did not find anything relevant.

gstreamer1.0-libav is already the newest version (1.14.1-1~ubuntu18.04.1).

I'm still researching a solution to open the default Ubuntu 18.04 player image and Deepin Movie 3.2.3 from the standard Ubuntu store. Both do not appear mp4 picture. In Deepin Movie no picture appears.

Hello actionparsnip

I found this option on the Gnome page, but I do not know how to proceed. See: Videos supports plugins written in C (and any variation of it), Python, and Vala. To install new plugins, unpack your plugins in ~ / .local / share / totem / plugins /. Maybe this is a solution: https://wiki.gnome.org/Apps/Videos/Documentation

What plugins could or should be installed in this folder?

This is guide for Ubuntu simplest, and not for running systems "primarily based on Ubuntu".
Please look for guide pages for CaeLinux, maybe https://caelinux.Com/CMS3/index.Hypertext Preprocessor/forum and here's second source for you https://skateboardslife.com

Remark: On an Ubuntu device the hassle that you have may want to likely be solved through reinstalling the grub boot loader (see e.G. Https://www.Omgubuntu.Co.United kingdom/2011/09/live-usb-sticking-grub-2-video ). We do now not understand whether or not this additionally works for CaeLinux.

Can you help with this problem?
