Ubuntu 16.10
Hello,
I recently had an update to my Ubuntu 16.04 desktop. for some reason it was running the xorg grafic dri vers and I kept getting messages that said I was running on low graphics. so, I tried installing the Nvidia drivers and everything just fell appart.
I was locked out of the system, and could not do anything with it.
So, I unstalled the ubuntu 16.10 from the disk.
But I am having all likds of problems with this one.
1). I tried a sudo apt-get update and was told it could not fetch anything.
2). I tried to add the mulituniverse and restricted packages but was told there was no internet connection
3). Could not change to an Nvidia driver for the same resons.
I did install 18.10 over 16.04 and erased entire disk. When I do a sudo apt-get update, it is only looking for utopia updates.
I really do not understand what is going on here.
Can you help straighten out this mess?
