install ubuntu without cd

Is it possible le to install ubuntu wothout burning it to cd as i cant burn cd's from my pc.

Yes you can do it for 8.1 .

Go to BIOS setup during boot and make the first boot device as usb , with your USB plugged in , you can refer to your hardware manual to enter BIOS setup , it will normally be hotkeys like , f2,del or f8
