Rhythmbox Playback Error Message

Asked by daShoe

My Rhythmbox is not working at all.. Everything that I try to open gives me the same error message: "Could not open audio device for playback." The tracks have been converted into .ogg files, I have checked all my sound and volume settings but I haven't found anything out of place. I downloaded all the tracks to my hard drive and tried to open them again.. Same error message. Even the pre-installed files and radio stations and channels have the same error.. What can I do to make it work?

try to uninstall rythmbox music player from terminal or from add or remove programs. and re install it. it should work properly. try to use alsa soundcard. it is perfect for rythmbox music player.
