Keyboard Disabeling Tablet Mode

Using Ubuntu 18.04 and LM 19 (Kernel 4.15.0-22-generic, Cinnamon 3.8.3) on a Lenovo X220 Tablet the entire internal keyboard AND the buttons next to the display are "turned off" in Tablet mode (Display flipped with screen looking upwards) Inputs are not recognized
Trying to reactivate it with xinput (https://askubuntu.com/questions/325546/how-to-disable-and-enable-keyboard-in-ubuntu#325561) didn't help. Is there an option to deactivate the keyboard from being turned off, when the display is flipped to tablet mode?
