installation of curl on ubuntu 11

Hi,

I have to install curl on ubuntu 11.04.i've searched several ubuntu sites the packages are not available.but I got the third party software.The below link is the same. I've installed it on our server and now it's working fine.My doubt is whether is it secure to install the different package in ubuntu 11.04? Is it secure or not ? that i wanna confirmation .

Please guide this same.

The problem is not about a single package which might be insecure, Ubuntu 11.04 as such is not secure any more.
See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases and you will see that support for Ubuntu 11.04 has ended more than five years ago.

If an Ubuntu release is in "end of life" status, it will not get any corrections and bug fixes any more, not even for critical vulnerabilities like meltdown, spectre, shellshock, heartbleed, poodle, ...
Ubuntu 11.04 probably is vulnerable to several of them.
