Pop-up window from panel indicator qbirthday too much to the left, not fully visible

I managed to install the great birthday reminder tool qbirthday (https://github.com/lafrech/qbirthday, Qt port of GBirthday, a GTK application) on Ubuntu 18.04. It works fine but the displayed list (pop-up window) is placed to the left side and therefore not fully visible:

A few days ago the windows was shown on the right side (but still not fully visible), but this behaviour only lasted till the next restart.
How could I change this?
