Give me command for terminal to install hp-upgrade utilities

Asked by hummingbird

I'm sure I had the hp-upgrade utilities on my computer. Several months ago, I was one that lost ALL launchbars and menu bars. Someone helped me get them back but they had me delete the cache. While it brought the bars back, it did change some of the settings on my computer. I don't know if that is when the utilities was lost or not.

I was hoping to get them back with a command in the terminal. IF that isn't right, could someone tell me where to go or what I need to do.

Can you not launch it from the launcher like all other applications?

I can launch the hp device manager and get some info. But the printer hasn't been working properly for several weeks. I replaced all the ink cartridges, thinking that the date were too expired. Whenever I try the diagnostics in the hp manager, it won't even print the test page.

It keeps saying the hp-upgrade utilities isn't installed. I even replaced the USB printer cable, thinking maybe it had gone bad. But that didn't help. Sometimes it will print and just get a partial of what it's supposed to print--usually not readable.

It seems that nobody here knowns what this "hp-upgrade" is, which you are talking about, and where it can be found.

And also a google search did not give a reasonable answer to me.

Before you start ranting and raving, you should reconsider whether your question is formulated in a way which can be easily understood.
