Archive manager keeps returning 'An error occurred while opening the archive' whenever I try to open a .exe file

Everytime I try to open any sort of .exe file, I keep getting 'An error occurred while opening the archive', I have Wine installed, and the files themselves are fine.

You need to mark them as executable and then open them with the WINE binary. I assume this is an installer binary. If you dual boot and are trying to run applications in your Windows OS in Ubuntu then it won't work.
