Matlab in kubuntu

Hello
         I m using kubuntu 8.10 and I've avoided windows for the last year. I've met a project and I wana to simulate on Matlab, last I wana to install Matlab using Wine but unfortunately it cann't proceeded and hanged , I,ve install octave but to me octave is not so much comprehensive as Matlab is. My point is that can I install Matlab in kubuntu or not??

Go here and find the version you are trying to install then follow the steps.

thanks your responce but the probelm is I m using "wine 1.1.18" and wine 1.1.18 wasn't enlisted there.

Follow the instructions on the version of matlab you are trying to run.

Sir I m using wine of version 1.1.18 and wiine 1.1.18 is not listed there i-e in web page http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=application&iId=49

What im saying is it doesnt matter what version you are using because your one is the current development version (Its not out yet so it wont be listed) so just follow whatever information is there.
