Accessing SMB Shares via AD Group

Asked by Joe

I am setting up Ubuntu 18.04 server and have it added to our domain. I setup a smb share on the server and I can access it from a MAC pc with the local test user i setup on the server, but not via a user in the test group i created in our domain.

this is what my smb.conf file looks like when the local test user can access the share. If i change this to @domain\groupname i can't access the folder from the mac pc. I confirmed the server is connected to AD.

All the searching i've done has not given me anything that works.

Im new to Ubuntu and could use a little help.

Thanks All!
