pressing a single key triggers multi press at times

Asked by venkatesh

I have recently upgraded to ubuntu 18. From then on I found an issue.
when I press a key the system appears to be a bit stuck and then suddenly I see 7-10 characters of same key which I have typed before. Not sure when it is happening as it happens very randomly

I don't think it is because of pressing a key more than once. It is more like single press triggers multiple key presses.

The use of bounce keys didn't help me either way :(
Not sure what's the cause of the issue.
