Grub customization

Asked by Pawel Grycz

Is it possible to make Ubuntu's grub menu alike Fedora's ? I mean to remove the frame and edit text content at the bottom?

Which bit do you want to copy to your own config please?

Looks pretty standard

Most important is just to get rid of this frame and useless grub version info from the top when standard ubuntu grub is used.

I also noticed that in fedora efi grub the menu options are aligned more to the left and little more upper than just centered which would nicely corresponds e.g with some custom image I have for grub to place in, so another question is whether it's possible to configure 'menu with OS options' placement?

Desireable result is to have just installed OS's entries to choose from and dark grey/black background or image added as background.

If I want to 'copy' anything from that picture uploaded to my own customized config is to copy the 'none' of the frame and 'none' of the useless info from the top and maybe from the bottom :-)
