Accessing the WIFI section of the "Settings" window causes massive freezes

Asked by Slavic Dragovtev

Fresh install of Ubuntu 18.04 LTS on a ProBook 470 G4.

Accessing the Wi-Fi section of the "Settings" window causes huge, 5-20 seconds freezes of the window. Sometimes the "not responding" alert shows: https://ibb.co/bPhf4H

Nothing else seems to freeze. One core's utilization goes up during the freeze.

Would this be suited for a bug report? I have a few more issues that I'd like to submit but the but reporting on launchpad really tries to make it difficult.

I suggest a bug report and close the question.

Are you connected to WiFi OK? Do you change networks frequently?

Do you only use one network?

It's a fresh install on which I only connected to a single wifi.

Can you help with this problem?
