Icons from top bar missing

Asked by Rumen

Ubuntu 18 LTS / 64

Missing icons in the top bar (status bar) for Dropbox, Mega, Skype, Classic menu indicator etc .... after update. Language, Wifi, Sound are there no problem with them.

I searched for a solution, but find only 2 that doesn't work.

There is a temporary solution here https://gist.github.com/molotovbliss/67c54e628c55c48891fd322983c2011a

But after the last update it stopped working too.

Regards,

Rumen

It's Ubuntu 18.04 LTS not Ubuntu 18 LTS.

I suggest you report a bug. Bionic is not ready and not stable.

OK I will try. I have never reported a bug. Seems very hard procedure. I thought that there is a solution and that's why I asked as question.

It's one command:

ubuntu-bug compiz

Not hard at all.

You may find there is an update later on that resolves this.

This is the nature of the unstable prerelease you are using. It will also be pretty shaky a few weeks after release too.

Can you help with this problem?
