The router is irrelevant. We need to know the WiFi adaptor in your system that you are using.

What is the output of:

sudo lshw -C network; sudo rfkill list

If possible, use a wired connection and get fully updated

“The router is irrelevant.”
I don’t understand the above.
I should be able to connect to another computer using WiFi,
this is my thinking.
“We need to know the WiFi adaptor in your system that you are using.”
At this moment I don’t have any other WiFi adaptors.
What I need is the laptop to connect to ADSL router using WiFi and help to get this connected.
Thank you

The make and model of the router doesn't matter. It will obey industry standards. It's why you can connect to a Drink or a Linksys router and just use the system. It makes no difference at all.

The system you have given the information doesn't have WiFi. Only ethernet.

Does the system have a make and model?
