Dolphin: No more Samba Shares appear

Asked by Joerg

I just installed Kubuntu 18.04 beta 2 from scratch on a hardware I have for experimenting, a ZBOX. I had Kubuntu 17.10 there, among others.
In Dolphin, Network, I wanted to browse the Samba Shares. There are quite a few in the network, on Machines with Windows.
That usually is working right away, without setting anything particular up. After a moment the workgroup shows up, from where I can browse the shares.

Not so with 18.04 beta. Nothing appears.
There is no firewall active. That can't be the reason.
This behavior is new. Does anybody know why? Is it a bug? Anything else? An incompatibility within Samba? How can I make it work?

I suggest you report a bug. Bionic is not ready and not stable.
